Surrey, Cloverdale, and Langley Housing Market Update - July 9, 2023

Schools are officially off so if you have some energetic young ones, good luck this summer! It’s looking like its going to be a hot one, can we say the same about the real estate market?

It’s starting to feel like we are entering the summer real estate market where activity tends to slow down when it comes to sales. If we compare the 1st week of July to the 1st week of June, there are approximately 50 less sales reported. Whereas for listings, there are 70 more reported as over 400 new listings have entered the market this week alone.

As a buyer or seller, this will impact you accordingly. From a sellers perspective, you can put your home for sale while looking for your next home at the same time without feeling rushed to sell and then have nowhere to go.

As a buyer, bidding wars are happening less and less, so you can look at 4, 5, 6 properties and decide what’s best for you by doing the due diligence. In a summer market, there is tremendous opportunity on both sides to do exactly what you want.

If you want to know what’s happening in your neighborhood, please give us a call or send us a DM and we’d be happy to help.
